Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will provide Legal Matter Management database operations by review incoming work assignments and properly identifying and characterizing such assignments for entry into the Office’s legal database. You will populate the database with relevant information from previous cases in order to assist the attorney with working the matter/assignment. You will provide dedicated legal and administrative support to the Counsel. You will perform advanced analysis under a wide variety of action submitted for legal review and perform needed legal research manually and on legal search engines (such as Lexis), the internet and other automated systems. You will prepare legal memorandums based on results of legal research, and/or make appropriate replies, orally and in writing. You will perform litigation paralegal support by establishing and maintaining litigation case files, meeting filing deadlines, compiling evidentiary administrative records to accompany litigation reports, pleadings and a variety of other documents. You will develop initial drafts of basic briefs and motions for the attorneys. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For NT-03:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 pay band (GS-5/7 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing legal support services for various fields by researching case law, analyzing facts, and reviewing legal documentation for accuracy to compile information for investigations or patent applications. For NT-02:Your resume must demonstrate 3 years of progressively responsible general experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to at least GS-4 level, that demonstrates the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
