Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an AMBULATORY AIDE to join our team!

Patients who are able to ambulate early and regularly have been shown to have reduced length of stay and less postoperative or post-procedural complications. The Ambulation Technician is a non-licensed worker who has completed on the job training to assist patients to safely ambulating and are recovering from injuries, illnesses or surgery during their inpatient admission.

 HOURS: Supplemental or .2 FTE, 16 hours each pay period. Every other weekend working one day – day shift.

 Experience/Qualifications

High School or GED equivalentKnowledge of patient care standards and practices via previous experience as nursing assistant or aide beneficial. Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
