Apprentice Tractor Technicians are to perform maintenance services in which the volume and quality of work is within the acceptably measures standards for a Dayton Freight Lines.

Learns to perform basic maintenance and part replacement procedures by observing, assisting and asking questionsAssist senior technicians when asked to do soDevelop skills in the diagnosis and repair of all DFL tractor componentsLearn to effectively and efficiently perform PM inspections and servicesPerform service callsPerform other maintenance duties or assignments as necessaryBe a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds and all equipment and toolsMaintain a clean, safe environment that complies to OSHA and company standardsProficient in recording all work and labor on a computer in the EMS systemWork with Parts Department to assure that all necessary material, parts, service supplies and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levelsWorks in compliance to EPA and DOT regulations and Company safety requirementsContinuously improves processes Qualifications Possess a valid Driver's LicenseAble to pass a drug screenFluent in English Benefits Stable and growing organizationCompetitive weekly payOvertime after 40 hoursQuick advancementLaundered UniformsProfessional, positive and people-centered work environmentModern facilitiesClean, late model equipmentComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, 401(k), etc.
