We strive to “Make It Easy for Our Customers to Do Business with Herrington’s.” Ed Herrington Inc. is currently seeking full-time Architectural Representative for daytime Monday – Friday, 7a – 4p. SUMMARY Provides support to local architects/designers in support of the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. and company Sales representatives, including preparing cost estimates for quotation and sales and product support, by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Establishes working relationships with local architects to provide assistance with project development and needs. + Develops a direct line of consistent communications between architects and the company by determining pending and current projects. Tracks activity of communications with architects and reviews progress bi-monthly. + Maintains sales book of business with architects to an assigned RSL for EHI profitability. Provides necessary sales and service support. + Develops and institutes a method for estimating specifically for architects. Prepares estimates, written quotations, and processes any related data entry required. + Familiarizes architects and other contacts with Ed Herrington, Inc. and the benefits each department provides in service to the customer. Provides technical assistance all on products offered at Herrington’s. + Coordinates with key vendors to provide support and visits with architects to promote and support products. + Offers technical assistance when necessary to Sales representatives and external customers. + Maintains strong working relationships with Sales representatives and other company departments by reacting promptly and accurately to requests for support and assistance. + Plans, participates in, and attends AIA events, company events and monthly meetings. + Participates in all required training assignments. + Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties. Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is largely a sedentary role with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; however, while performing the duties of this job the employee will need to frequently communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information; consistently operate a computer and other office equipment. The employee will need to occasionally move about to meet with customers, access files, and use other office equipment. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
