Assistant Controller

Position Scope:Assists the Chief Financial Officer and Controller in the coordination of the accounting, reporting, budgeting, purchasing, and data processing procedures for Community Wellness Partners and St. Luke campuses.
Qualifications/Education/Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related degree from an accredited school.
Experience:
+ Three to five years experience in a financial and accounting field.
+ Three to five years experience in a supervisory or management position.
+ A minimum of three years experience in cash management and investments and security transactions.
+ Experience with governmental regulatory agencies required.
+ Experience with computers and spreadsheet applications required.
Main Position Function:
+ Assists in the supervision of preparing monthly financial statements for Community Wellness Partners and St. Luke campuses by the staff accounting personnel.
+ Cost reporting
+ Provides oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
+ Assists Chief Financial Officer and Controller with all third party payor audits
+ Makes recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer and Controller concerning maximizing revenues and reducing operational costs
+ Manages Finance team of employees at St. Luke, Oswego NY location
+ Other job duties as assigned by CFO and Controller
