Works in conjunction with other health care professionals to obtain the necessary documentation that supports the medical necessity for the equipment. + Demonstrates equipment as needed and as available. + Prepares necessary documentation and conducts follow-up to obtain necessary documentation. + Delivers and picks up equipment to and from patients’ homes. Provides and reviews written documentation to patients/caregivers and obtains signatures on delivery paperwork. + Performs final fittings and equipment modifications prior to and upon delivery. Trains patients, caregivers, family members and others in the proper use and maintenance of the equipment. + Provides follow-up support to customers. + Assists in performing repair services to rehab equipment provided by the department. + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION + High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE + One year experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. + Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
