Audiologist

Position Summary:

Responsible for administering basic and comprehensive diagnostic audiological tests that differentiate between types of hearing disorders.

Responsibilities:


Provide hearing aid testing, selection and fitting
Counsels patients regarding test results and reviews options to best meet patient needs
Responsible for the identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment including determining the appropriateness and benefit of amplification
Performs a variety of tasks
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:


Master’s degree in Audiology required
State of Idaho licensed Audiologist required
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required
BLS Required.  Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH
 

Working Conditions:


Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical and office job
Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
