Within this role you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining digital infrastructure platforms to drive innovation by making informed decisions using real-time data and information.

As a Senior Automation Infrastructure Engineer, a typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:

Designing and delivering end-to-end data solutions to meet our current and future needs

Facilitating the smooth transition of projects from Development into Production Environment

Overseeing migration of data from legacy systems to new applications

Acting as a Subject Matter Expert and the technical go-to for the data integration solutions

Becoming intimately familiar with the data model of the process systems

Iterating and shipping ideas quickly with minimal direction.

Collaborating effectively with other functions & groups on the site’s data strategy

Thinking critically, troubleshooting proactively and solving complex problems

Experiencing review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

Producing detailed documentation to a high standard

This role might be for you if:

You have General IT Administration experience and System Upgrades/Maintenance/Migrations (Infrastructure, Applications) experience

You possess an excellent understanding of protocols such as OPC, UPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, HTTP

You have experience in SQL and knowledge of database structures

You demonstrate Knowledge/Skills with REST API and SDK

You are knowledgeable in analytics and data insights

You are innovative, customer focused, and results driven

You have an extensive knowledge of end-to-end data flows and data architecture

You possess an ability to operate as part of a team in a highly interdependent environment

You possess strong Organizational skills and Project Management skills (SCRUM, Agile)

You have a good understanding of ISA-95 Framework and layers (systems such as SCADA, Historian, MES, and Data warehouses etc)

You appreciate Industry 4.0/IIoT and how digital transformation can be achieved effectively within this framework

You are overall technical savvy and demonstrate an ability to work in a small team setting, owning complex technical projects with an ability to learn new technologies quickly

To be considered for this opportunity you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience with 3+ years relevant experience. You should have a proficiency in designing data models with relational database systems. Experience in the following packages is beneficial but not essential: Splunk, Virtualization, Network and System Administration, scripting, and configuration management.
