We are seeking Residential Counselors to instruct, supervise and assist residents with activities of daily living through daily routines and to carry out scheduled activities and programs.

Responsibilities

Residential Counselor Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Aligning the student education and residential service teams to ensure consistency with IEP and ILP plansAssist residents in the performances of residential programs and daily routines.Complete required record keeping, data collection and documentation.Select and supervise activities which are appropriate to each resident’s capabilitiesAttend program and behavior meetings, orientation, and in-service training sessions.Complete scheduled household chores with/without students’ help.Ensure residents are dressed appropriately, in a manner which respects their human rights and dignity.Advocate and protect clients’ rights in accordance with current policies and procedures.Maintain a mature and positive attitude when dealing with residents, staff, parents and/or guardians.Carry out all job responsibilities and accept constructive feedback in a professional manner.Perform other duties as needed and/or directed. Qualifications

Resident Counselor Qualifications:
