Provides care to patients with psychiatric problems. Assists and teaches patients basic living and working skills. May conduct group counseling sessions. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.  Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Sociology or a related field, and/or direct patient care experience in the field of in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
