As we continue to build our team in support of our vision to be the world’s best and most trusted mobility company, the Corporate Benefits Department is excited to announce an opportunity for a Benefits Specialist to join the team!

 

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing Health and Welfare benefit plans and the relationships with plan vendors.  This role will develop, interpret, review, validate, document, and maintain business requirements and develop strategic goals for the North American benefits programs.  This position will also partner with the Communications Team, internal HR partners and external vendors and consultants to develop compliant best practices for managing the North American benefit plans and vendors, and contribute to the overall efficiency of department operations.

 

This position reports into our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO, with a hybrid schedule available.

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings.  Responsibilities include:

Identify, recommend, and implement ongoing improvements to processes, wellness initiatives, plan design, plan utilization reporting, eligibility files, the Hub and Internet employee communications, and vendor website contentInterpret and explain EH employee benefit programs; respond to administrative and policy questionsInvestigate and respond to eligibility and claim questions and inquiries from Benefits CentralMonitor new benefit legislation and ensure plan compliance with state and federal regulationsPerform detailed research and analysis of administrative appealsLook for benefit and utilization trends and research new benefit offeringsServe as the subject matter expert for assigned benefit plansDevelop and perform analysis of key benefit metricsEstablish and maintain strong partnerships with U.S. and Canadian benefit vendorsPrepare for and lead both internal and external vendor meetingsAnalyze plan utilization, identify trends and propose recommendations for cost savings and improved plan performanceFacilitate and analyze requests for proposals (RFPs) and contract renewalsDevelop and monitor Implementation Plan for new benefit plans and vendors; lead implementation meetings with vendorsMaintain contracts and vendor agreements including amendments, and ensure proper record retentionDevelop, document and monitor the benefit plans to ensure vendor contractual obligations are being metDevelop, review and analyze vendor Performance Guarantees recommending adjustments when appropriate; develop and establish benchmarksOutline service expectations and review vendor performance to ensure excellent customer serviceConduct detailed review and approval of vendor invoicesPerform detailed review and analysis of vendor customer service dialog documents, vendor plan design documents, and the Summary Plan Description to ensure consistencyPerform periodic scheduled reviews of vendor websites and IVRs to confirm functionality and accuracy of informationMonitor provider network coverage to ensure sufficient provider accessLead vendor-specific communications effortsIdentifies opportunities for benefit communication and education including new hire communications, annual enrollment, and other initiativesMaintain confidentiality of employee and benefits data including safeguarding Protected Heath Information (PHI) and comply with HIPAAAssist in development of benefits communications in partnership with internal teams, review various benefits compliance documents such as SPDs, SBCs, SRAs

Qualifications

Minimum:

Must have a Bachelor’s DegreeMust have 5 or more years’ experience managing Health and Welfare benefits for corporations with 1,000+ employeesMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Preferred:

Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Designation
