BMT Data Coordinator

Summary:      Manages cellular therapies data collection, prepares reports using established protocols for the Bone Marrow Transplant Program and Cancer Center. Submits data to international registries and completes data reports for regulatory agencies, manufacturers, and insurers. Prepares data presentations for the Blood & Marrow Transplant Program Quality Committee. Coordinates regulatory data audits. Manages the transplant data management software. Maintains the Radiation Injury Treatment Network (RITN) grant and Institutional Review Board (IRB) transplant consent forms.

Education:     High School education and graduate of an approved degree program. Shall participate in a minimum of ten (10) hours of educational activities related to bone marrow transplantation programs and data management on an annual basis.

Experience: 3-5 years of data collection experience or equivalent with exposure to research protocols. Medical Terminology required. Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Microsoft Office and knowledge of Microsoft Access or data management software. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines for Bone Marrow transplantation, including but not limited the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR), and National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Works in a well-lighted and well-ventilated area.  May be exposed to disagreeable odors, sights, bodily waste, or infectious diseases.  Attends all safety related training programs.  Physical Demands: May be required to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time.  Intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.  Meets all safety requirements associated with the Medical Center.
