Summary: The Business Development Banker generates, new deposits, business loan leads, Cash Management services, and other revenue income to Blue Foundry Bank. The principal role of the Business Development Banker is meeting with prospects, developing strong relationships in their respected marketplace, and closing business. It’s essential that the Business Development Banker build their book of business by networking with Centers of Influence as well as local businesses, and high net worth Blue Foundry Bank customers or prospects, to assist them in maximizing their deposit portfolio. Once an opportunity is won, the Business Development Banker will continue to retain the client within the banker’s book of business with a focus on and deepening the relationship. Minimum Requirements: • Minimum of a four-year college degree and/or a minimum of 3-5 years related experience • Minimum 3 – 5 years of proven banking experience in sales, marketing and business development. • Well developed negotiation and account management skills • Versitile, flexible and able to travel for meetings and training as required • Self-motivated and confident with the ability to multi task • Strong Center of Influence (COI) network – required • Experience in analyzing financial statements - required • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong prospecting and sales skills • Well-developed negotiation and account management skills • Excellent consultative sales skills Specific Job Functions: • Work closely with Commercial Lenders to develop the deposit relationships for these customers • Work closely with the Cash Management Team to ensure customers and prospects are utilizing all the tools they need to help their business run smoothly and efficiently • Identify the top depositors in each branch and work with managers to service these customers and enhance their relationship with Blue Foundry Bank • Identify and develop new business relationships that have annual revenues up to $20MM • 75% of time will be spent in market generating business by meeting with prospects, outside calling, attending networking functions, and community events • Work closely with Centers of Influence (COI) to include local businesses, CPA’s, lawyers, and commercial real estate brokers to assist in driving new business. Work with manager and Marketing to create a well-defined strategy that will target his/her respected goals • Effectively onboard business prospects and grow existing business customer’s lending, depository, and cash management relationships • Understand and carry out senior management’s sales objective(s) within their respective market • Partner with multiple lines of business within Blue Foundry Bank including but not limited to: Cash Management, Lending, and External Partners to help cross-sell Blue Foundry Bank products and services and deepen new and existing banking relationships • Have in-depth experience of the pre-qualification, structuring, and pricing on all credit requests to adhere to Blue Foundry Bank profitability standards • Maintain a strong understanding of Blue Foundry Bank credit policy, evaluate risk on credit and depository products, and recognize client eligibility to successfully submit credit/application packages. • Stay current with national, regional, and local industry trends • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with customers and prospects • Acquire new and deepen existing CAP relationships focusing on account acquisition and deposit growth. • Performs other duties as assigned All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, LGBTQ, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
