Position Title Campus Coordinator Department Vice President for Academic Affairs Office Position Category TemporaryPart time About CCRI The Community College of Rhode Island is the states only public comprehensive associate degree granting institution We provide affordable open access to higher education at locations throughout the state Our primary mission is to offer recent high school graduates and returning adults the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for intellectual professional and personal growth through an array of academic career and lifelong learning programsAt CCRI we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse campus community We strive to hire and retain culturally competent faculty and staff members who reflect the demographics of our state and our increasingly diverse student populationWe believe that our diversity is our strength We celebrate support and thrive on the diverse experiences backgrounds and perspectives that are represented across our four campusesWe are OneCCRI working together to prepare learners to achieve their highest potentialTo learn about what employees value at CCRI and what it means to work here please read about our Guiding Principles and watch videos of our employees doing what they do best httpswwwccrieduequitycultureguidingprincipleshtml Job Summary Under the direction of the Campus Leader coordinates campus internal and external community relations works across all of the Colleges divisions to coordinate communication and promotional planning for the campus Manages the campus event calendar and coordinates with the facilities team to schedule both internal and external events for the campus In partnership with the Campus Leader develop and manage a variety special campus projects and programs Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates communication and promotional plan for the campus and assists the Campus Leader in responding to external community groups organizations and individuals Coordinate various campus programs and activities designed to support student success Leads the coordination of a campus cabinet a small groups of faculty and staff charged with maintaining a welcoming and inclusive campus climate in collaboration with the Campus Leader Develop and maintain close working relationships with academic departments and divisions within the college Develop and maintain close working relationships with external community agencies and other student support providers Prepares written reports consisting of qualitative and quantitative data memoranda draft publications and brochures and other documents as necessary Collaborates with the marketing team to provide public information explains College policies and procedures and coordinates public events Performs special projects for the Campus Leader as requested Performs other related duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Associates degree A minimum of two 2 years experience in providing student support with a demonstrated advocacy and commitment to student success and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by community college and developmental education students Strong technical aptitude including experience with Microsoft suite and enterprise software systems Significant professional experience with problem solving and conflict resolution Well developed oral and written communication planning skills and adaptability Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty staff and students essential Competencies Bachelors degree Reports To Campus Leader Campus Location Primarily located at the Providence Campus Full timePart time Part Time Shift Days and Additional Work Schedule Information M F 3 4 hours daily between 800 400pm EST Work Schedule Calendar Benefits SalaryHourly Rate 24 per hour Additional Salary Information Licenses Tools and Equipment Environmental Conditions Desired Start Date 11152021 Position End Date if temporary or grant 11012022
