Description Quasi-governmental financial institution is seeking a Captial Markets Quantitative Data Analyst to join their team. The Capital Markets Desk is pivotal in advising and supporting financial institutions in meeting their funding and market access needs. The Capital Markets Quantitative Data Analyst holds a dual role involving ongoing communication, market assessment, and leading the development of modernized financial analytics tools. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales and Pricing Strategies: + Coordinate and recommend sales and pricing strategies for Discount Note Programs to achieve cost-effective funding. Yield Curve Establishment: + Establish daily short-term yield curves for market rate setting. Relative Value Benchmarking: + Collaborate with market participants to identify relative value benchmarking solutions. Modernized Relative Value Solutions: + Develop modernized solutions aligning with business, risk, and compliance requirements, integrating them with internal applications. IT Collaboration: + Collaborate with IT to enhance funding and market decision-making. Relationship Management: + Cultivate and maintain relationships, gaining insights into various financial aspects. Cross Training: + Acquire knowledge of funding officer responsibilities for backup support. Communication Facilitation: + Facilitate communications on market opportunities and trends. Market Understanding: + Gain understanding of the market to provide relative value insights. Diversity and Inclusion Support: + Support diversity and inclusion strategies. Requirements Summary of Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in finance/business, data science, mathematics, or a related field. + 2+ years of professional experience in capital markets, banking, financial services, or a related industry. + Working knowledge of data analysis using Python and R; proficiency in other programming languages is preferred. + Familiarity with the SOFR futures market and SOFR/OIS derivatives is preferable. + Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives supported by data. + Analytically driven with a strong understanding of working with large datasets. + Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal and data is preferred. + Reliable, rigorous, and ability to operate independently in a multi-task and fast-paced trading environment. + Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. + Quick learner with the ability to demonstrate industry and product knowledge. + Open-minded, collaborative, and able to integrate diverse views while resolving conflicts constructively. + Professional curiosity to identify and drive improvements and opportunities with a willingness to delve into details and frame solutions. + Effective oral and written communication skills.
