Role Summary

Responsible for identifying and supporting Chemical and Polyurethane business growth opportunities on behalf of Magna Seating Chemical Technologies (MSCT). 

Key Responsibilities Collaborate/support with Magna Seating Innovation and MSCT Chemists group on current and new PU developments Collaborate/support with Magna manufacturing locations on Chemical Systems only as needed/required Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other business partners for existing Chemical Systems Research to identify new opportunities both Internally and Externally in the area of PU Chemical Systems Use skills in project management and leadership to develop new contracts while maintaining/growing existing ones Provide key information required for preparing quotes for new products/customers Adhere to local and federal regulations Additional Information Adhere to Divisions expense budget Continuous Improvement initiatives for saving activities within the MSCT Division Some travel required (<25%) Promotes Magna’s Corporate Constitution and compliance to the Magna Employee’s Charter and adhere to systems and policies Ensures conformance to all established policies, procedures, and rules as defined by Health and Safety systems, in compliance with OSHA, and Magna Corporate Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process, and quality system If there is reason to believe that any equipment, physical condition of the workplace, or assigned task is likely to jeopardize customer’s requirements, internal requirements, or the quality of product and/or equipment build, notify management immediately Key Qualifications/Requirements ​​​​​ Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and/ or equivalent combination of education and experience  Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Polyurethane Chemical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong understanding of Polyurethane Foam Manufacturing Processes. Demonstrated successful performance with independent and team problem solving, presentations, leadership, and coordinating and completing multiple tasks within and across departments to meet changing deadlines. Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and technical presentations. Ability to manage customer communications. Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, develop solutions and lead their implementation. Proficient skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and database applications. Strong communication skills with project managers, vendors, contractors, and business executives Awareness. Unity. Empowerment.
