Children Soccer General Manager

THE COMPANY

Youth Athletes United was created to provide the best programming and service in the market for youth sports, starting with their first sports experience. Soccer Stars has been in the youth soccer business for over 22 years and have been recognized as the largest operating program in the US.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Greater Fairfax region of Soccer Stars and its programming, including:

Identify and execute aggressive short-term and long-term business growth opportunities Oversee day-to-day operations and big-picture planning Manage staff experience, efficiency, productivity, and welfare Ensure that the high-quality standards of the brands are always achieved and maintained

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development and Marketing: 

Identify and execute strategic business opportunities for all Soccer Stars programs Build and manage mutually beneficial relationships with schools, day cares, recreation departments, community centers, parks, partnership programs, and other facilities through supervision and effective communication Liaise with partner facilities to maintain effective business relationships, arrange and maintain class schedules and optimize each partnership     Manage community outreach by developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses and grassroots organizations and coordinating promotional events Promote Soccer Stars through social media posts, organizing local farmer market booths and special events

 

Customer Service

Communicate with families, locations, and coaches (seasonal promotion and notifications, class adjustments, class/event/programming coordination) Handle escalated issues swiftly within Soccer Stars standards and to maximize customer service satisfaction

 

Program Administration

Liaise with the Executive Team to implement and ensure the execution of regional administrative and operations timelines Ensure the following: All facilities and permits are secured All schedules are built, and classes are created as per company directives and timeline All schedule and weather changes are administered accurately and urgently

 

Coach and Staffing Oversight 

Approve seasonal placement of coaches, considering coach attributes and consistency, and review regularly Meet with Operations Team 2-3 times a week to ensure priorities are aligned between administrative and staffing departments Support Lead Coach Coordinator in his duties and role Observe classes to ensure quality and evaluate teachers  Coordinate with the Staffing team to analyze and assess the schedule to plan for future seasons Ensure all tasks and projects are brought to completion in a timely manner  Schedule regular meetings with staff to review performance and goals, handle disciplinary action and act as the first chair on a yearly review
