Our Med Surg Tele unit has 44 beds and utilizes latest technology such as Omnicell, Epic, and Mindray (for vitals), allowing our team to provide the best care possible to our patients. Our nurse to patient ratio is 1:4/5 depending upon acuity and case types include cardiac, congestive heart failure, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, wound care, med surg, Neuro, etc.  Some unit specific skills include: trache care, central lines, dialysis, chest tubes, etc.  The leaders for this team are long tenured employees of SRHS with seasoned clinical skills and a wealth of knowledge to help you build your clinical skills.  This unit is not just about "reading heart rhythm strips" - it offers an awesome opportunity to enhance your skill set in a diverse patient care setting.

 

The Registered Nurse recognizes and addresses patient needs or issues to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction, quality and outcomes. The Registered Nurse provides, directs and coordinates professional nursing care for all patients following established clinical nursing standards and practices.  The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.  Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
 

 

Minimum Requirements

Education         

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Experience        

Minimum of one year of recent R.N. experience within the past 5 years preferred. 

License/Registration/Certifications             

Current R.N. licensure in the state of South Carolina BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC

Assures continuity of care through effective decision making resulting in quality patient care Documents all aspects of patient care by following established charting procedure to show the patient’s progress or any change in the patient’s condition Other Duties as assigned
