JOB SUMMARY:  The cook prepares food for hospital patients, guests, employees, and catered functions according to standardized recipes and established policies and procedures. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families, guests and with co-workers.

 

POSITION DETAILS:

Full-time, 80 hours every two weeks NEW HOURS! Six morning shifts (5:30am - 2:30pm) & four afternoon shifts (10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) per two week pay period. Every other weekend and rotating holidays

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 

Prior quantity cooking and baking experience preferred, but not required. On-the-job training provided!

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
 

Must be able to read, speak and write English and follow oral and written directions.
  Mathematical skills required to complete production tasks.
  Knowledge of quantity food production – recipes and measurements (and diet modifications preferred), also equipment safety and sanitation standards.
