GiaCare is now accepting resumes for a civilian Dietitian to work full-time in anticipation for a future position at Cannon AFB (New Mexico). 

 

Job Qualifications:

Degree/Education: Bachelor's Degree. Graduate from a college or university accredited by the ACEND or completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics accredited by ACEND or (Internship)

Certifications: Basic Life Support.

Experience: Possesses three (3) years of experience in wellness, sports nutrition or nutrition education. Should be a role model in weight, fitness, and other healthy lifestyle behaviors. One year of specialized experience in diet therapy after graduation.

Board Certification: Board eligible Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics by the ADA. 

Registration: Possess current registration as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. 

Job Duties: 

Provides expertise to implement and evaluate nutrition programs for all populations. Communicates and coordinates nutrition programs among local leadership and targets beneficiary populations. Employs appropriate social marketing tools to meet program goals and objectives. Participates in teleconferences, updates, working groups, review panels, symposiums related to nutrition education/MNT programming, management or operations. Delivers briefings, educational sessions, seminars, and worksite wellness programs as needed. Will be required to travel, at Government expense, to attend directed training and/or conferences.
