Digital Press Operator –
The Washington Post Production facility, located in Springfield, VA. is searching for a driven, enthusiastic Digital Press Operator in our growing Digital Printing Operation. In this role the Digital Press Operator is responsible for running the digital presses and other production equipment as needed. They are expected to become the expert on the products their team is responsible for as well as knowledgeable about the equipment used to complete the finished product.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Ability to comprehend job tickets and input information into production control systemsOperating a Konica Minolta KM-1e digital sheetfed press and KM 6100 toner pressOperation of folder and booklet making and other production equipmentBuild strong professional relationship with colleague and clientsUnderstanding and following the weekly production scheduleProviding excellent customer service to internal and external customersEnsuring equipment is maintained, auditing for PM compliance, and troubleshooting issues to keep equipment runningLearn and master how to audit for jobs for completion and customer satisfactionEnsuring safe work practices and the use of PPESuccessfully complete the work center specific training program that includes equipment, maintenance, and troubleshootingRequirements:
Digital press experience preferred, but not required.Machine operating experienceHigh School Diploma required, trade school or college education is a plusDemonstrates mechanical aptitudeProven track record of being a positive role model, excellent performance, and attendance recordGood time management is criticalEffective communication skillsAbility to work productively with employees, peers, other departments, and all levels of management.Exhibits strong teamwork and interpersonal skillsWherever you are in your life or career, The Washington Post offers comprehensive and inclusive benefits for every step of your journey:
