Direct Support Professional - 3rd Shift

As a Direct Support Professional - 3rd Shift, you will:

Assists in program and respite coverage as needed, with the ability to support students across any group assignment. Provides supervision, coaching, modeling, engagement, and support of students in all aspects of daily living, recreation activities, self-care skills, social and peer interaction, community integration, and emotion regulation.Implements agency and individual treatment approaches for students as identified in ITPs, IEPs, and as established by the treatment team.Coaches Direct Support Professionals on therapeutic approaches and agency-approved interventions in real-time. Provides constructive feedback and role modeling.Provides overall building support by helping with transition times as well as responding to and assisting with crisis situations including but not limited to behavioral incidents and elopement. Steps into coverage as a staff in ration to alleviate staff members requiring short breaks, staff emergencies, or during medical emergencies to accompany students to receive care as needed.  Provides transportation assistance to students for home visits or appointments and delivers medications.Administers medication following agency approved medication administration procedure. Performs quality assurance checks as designated to ensure proper and accurate administration of all medications.Serves as a back-up Building Coordinator as needed.Passes medication and responds to calls for additional support. 

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science field preferred. Minimum one year of experience working with children and/or adults having developmental and behavioral disabilities with associated emotional, neurological, and intellectual disorders in a residential setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and effectively solve problems.Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining self-composure and self-control.Self-motivated and able to work under minimal direct supervision.Valid Wi driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per company policy.

Schedule & Benefit Information
