JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Acts as the Owner’s representative for all Tribal Capital projects. In coordination with the CEO and Casino COO, responsible for planning and supervising a wide range of hospitality construction projects ($10 to $250 million) from start to finish. Must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures, and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best, cost-effective results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

Develop bidding strategies and contract formats. Review, approve and execute all projects contracts and purchase orders for compliance with Tribal policies and objectives. Participate in Design Development providing the necessary liaison, when required, between preconstruction department and the owner. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performances standards within boundaries of corporate policy. Plan, organize and staff key field office or management positions. Actively lead internal team(s) that focuses on continuous improvement of the business. Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget. Coordinate the preparation of the schedule and long-term planning. Evaluate construction progress and team performance to ensure projects are built on schedule and with in budget. Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect Tribal interests: review and approve budgets, cost reports, owner’s reports, expenses, etc. Perform the final review of internal items such as Cost Analysis Worksheets, Monthly Billing to Owner, Master Cost Breakdown, General Conditions Estimate, Labor Cost Report, and Monthly Reports. Coordinate, manage and supervise the work of subordinate project managers and support staff. Provide support, direction and encourage training subordinate team members. Oversee completion of project close-out. Represent the Tribe in project meetings. Provide technical assistance to all members of project team. Promote the growth and development of client, subcontractor and vendor relationships.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct involvement in all facility operations and construction as required.
