Your success is what's next with Custom Truck One Source. **Summary:** + Perform disassembly type functions using hand or power tools. + Disassemble process or repair salvageable parts from heavy trucks and equipment. + Organize and transport disassembled parts and equipment to specified locations within the salvage yard in order that they may be located for sale to customers. + Monday-Friday, Day Shift. **Duties / Responsibilities** + Maintains contact with supervisor to receive instructions. + Inspects trucks or equipment to disassemble and organizes tools for the task. + When assigned, performs disassembly of trucks and equipment. + Provides own tools to disassemble trucks and equipment + Drives or moves truck or equipment to assigned location for disassembly. + Evaluates self-work to ensure compliance with work instructions. + Uses all necessary test equipment to evaluate salvage of truck and equipment parts. + Performs cleaning operations using detergent baths, degreasing, and grit brushing. + Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them. + Must work with and for all departments in harmony. **Experience** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Salvage yard experience a plus + High level of mechanically skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic disassembly and repair of heavy trucks and equipment. **Physical Demands** + Regularly required to stand, climb stairs, kneeling, squatting, crawling and working from a prone position.
