Performs all duties related to adult and pediatric electrocardiograms. Attaches Holter monitors and Cardiac Event monitors to
patients. Scans Holter monitors. Performs bladder scans.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to accurately perform all electrocardiograms appropriate to age and development of thepatient according to policy. To include 18 lead and signal average EKG's. And the hook up of cardiac event and holter monitors.Instructs patients and family on procedure.Maintains accurate patient data by means of computer technology.Prepares reports for physicians to read and all clerical tasks associated with transmitting, editing, retrieval, distribution, and recordmaintenance.Responsible to notify reading physician, when necessary, of reading schedule.Obtains data for performance improvement.Responsible for maintaining supplies.Maintains and updates policy and procedure manual.Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients.Assists in orientation of new personnelFaxes daily schedule to appropriate depts throughout the medical center.Assists with charges as needed.Performs all duties, with or without accommodations, listed in the Physical Demands section of this job description.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED Required
One year allied health education and/or six months related experience and/or training.
Experience with computers preferred. BCLS certified.
Eligible to sit for CCT Exam(Certified Cardiac Tech)
