Electro Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary:The Engineer - EEG will perform a variety of multi trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance or repair of equipment, machinery, and facility. Duties include troubleshooting, repair, installation, and replacement of components, basic design, simple fabrication, adjustment, rebuilding, welding, etc. EEG is responsible for various tasks such as installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, machinery, and facility. The duties involve troubleshooting, repairing, installing and fabricating components, as well as basic design, adjustment and welding. Essential functions include knowledge of electrical power, hydraulic power, air power, PLC, light curtains, safety devices, and repair and replacement of test cables. The engineer should be able to read blueprints and recognize details, keep accurate records for replacement part ordering and regular equipment inspection, work with rigging and scaffolding, operate tools and precision measuring instruments, and effectively communicate about completion schedules, materials or parts requiredEssential Functions:•\tBasic knowledge of and understanding in:•\tElectrical Power. (Proper wire size for current, amps, Volts, AC, DC,). •\tHydraulic Power. (Cylinders, Valves, proper oil understanding force as applied).•\tAir Power (Cylinders, Valves Mufflers and other air components).•\tPLC (ladder logic control and functions as pertains to machine operation.)•\tKnowledge of light curtains and other safety devices to maintain a safe work environment. •\tKnowledge of repair and replacing test cables. •\tMaking recommendations for suitable substitutes on operational components. •\tRead blueprints, engineering sketches or designs; recognize and interpret details as well as slight variations in objects and use analytical skills. . •\tMust keep accurate written records for the ordering of replacement parts and part quantities. Supply manufactures book, drawing and spare parts to maintenance for proper ordering and Pm schedules for equipment.•\tRegularly inspect and adjust manufacturing equipment as a result of communication with the operators or production supervisors.•\tWork with rigging and scaffolding, using ropes, chains, cables, hoists, jacks and lift trucks to move heavy equipment.•\tAbility to operate powered hand tools is a must, and the ability to operate stationary machine tools is a plus. The Engineer will occasionally perform welding projects.•\tUse precision measuring instruments, and understand how things fit and work together.•\tMust be able to effectively communicate on issues such as scope of work, completion schedules, problems, solutions, materials or parts required, etc. •\tPerform other duties as required and assigned.

Position Qualifications: •\tOpen to an Associates or Bachelors Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical Engineer (Entry w/at least 1-2 co-ops in a manufacturing environment)•\t1-3 years experience in manufacturing, industrial, or military maintenance environment. •\tMust have electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting Nice to Have- Experience with PLC programming- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, ladder logic and industrial controls
