Entry-Level Project Manager - Hybrid

This position will require living in a commutable distance of Janesville, WI. This position is responsible for the overall coordination, execution, and control of equipment and site design/build projects ensuring consistency with the Company’s vision, goals, and commitments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n\nLead/coordinate/facilitate cross functional teams of sales, engineering, project support, manufacturing, sourcing, contractors, quality, and service to achieve project deliverables in support of the company’s goals and annual operating plan.\nResponsible for the on-time and on-budget coordination and completion of multiple equipment and system design/build projects with varying scope and budget ranges. \nDrive key decisions and risk mitigation for achieving quality, time, and cost objectives associated with each project.\nActively supports teams with all phases of the project:  budget development, planning, scheduling, design, build, and commissioning as required to meet project goals.\nFacilitate and drive effective internal and external communication.\n\nExternal – Communicate with customers, end-users, subcontractors, consulting engineers, permitting authorities to effectively understand and balance expectations of all parties.\nInternal - Facilitate appropriate communication(s) to all departments concerning assigned projects as needed. \n\n\nLead and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project review meetings as required.\nManage technical submittal packages for design approval and permit applications.\nLead projects to completion though demonstration of leadership in a Matrix organization. \nAttend off-site project meetings and host on site review meetings and equipment inspections.\nTravel as required to support customer and company requirements (typically less than 10%)\nOther duties as assigned. \n\n

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Project Manager I

A Project Manager (I) functions as an entry level project manager in which various project management skills are expected to be developed with the role. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                                   

\n\nBachelor’s degree or project management certificate preferred but not required for this entry-level Project Manager role.\n1-2 years of project management or related experience preferred but not required.\nDemonstrated abilities in the execution of concurrent multi-site projects highly preferred.\nExperience and familiarity with technical documents highly preferred.\nMS Project or other relevant scheduling software skills highly preferred.\n\n

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

\n\nAbility to manage all phases of multiple projects concurrently\nStrong problem-solving skills and understanding of CI principles.\nAbility to influence a team environment.\nWide degree of latitude in decision making is expected.\nLean fundamentals preferred.\nUnderstanding of ERP systems (AX) preferred\nAdvocate for change.\nAdvanced skills in common computer software applications\nAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment.\nAdvanced skills in Excel, Access database development, and/or Power BI (preferred not required)\n
