NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time Electrical Estimator in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Job Summary Estimating + Prepare complete cost estimates for all types of electrical projects. + Understand/monitor program of work to ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlines. + Schedule/attend field walk-through with customer, subcontractor and construction personnel to understand and determine constructability requirements. + Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency. + Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stake holders. + Follow-up at end of projects to close any loops in the estimating process. + Prepare work to be estimated: gathering proposals, drawings, specifications and related documents. + Consult with customers and project managers to gather information to prepare estimates. + Obtain bids from vendors and components to ensure accuracy and completeness. + Attend job site walkthroughs as necessary. Project Management + Prepare project construction schedules. + Submit Request for Information to clients. + Review and monitor job costs versus budgets. + Keep emphasis on the client by developing an understanding of the client’s culture, key people and processes. + Assist construction personnel throughout the project life-cycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate. + Assist in the preparation and submission of change orders. Qualifications + 3 or more years’ related experience or equivalent education, technical training and experience. + Accubid/LiveCount and/or Construction Environment experience a plus. + Proficient PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) skills. + Strong mathematical skills. + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. + Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures. + Communication - Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of mediums. + Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. + Time Management: Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. + Strong mathematical skills. + Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
