Work you’ll do: 

Assist clients with optimizing their accounting and financial reporting operationsAdvise our clients on technical accounting and internal control mattersImplement technical solutions to improve financial management activitiesAssist with financial statement compilation and reporting effortsIdentify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of workParticipate in team problem solving efforts and other ideas to solve client issuesMaintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work productsAssist in proposal development, as neededActively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clientsSupport ad hoc requests such as researching topical accounting/auditing issues, developing and reviewing position papers, providing integration support, etcIdentify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial business processesAssist clients in analyzing projects and programs to identify risks and help develop, apply, and monitor mitigationsReview deliverables for accuracy and quality

Our team provides resources to help clients manage their core accounting and financial reporting functions, as well as solutions to help them achieve their controls and finance transformation aspirations.  Our professionals keep up with emerging regulatory guidance along with industry and business trends to assist financial organizations.  We develop solutions to data complexities to help our clients achieve optimal finance transformation and meet their digital controllership goals and objectives. 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited United States college or university (Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems)Consulting experience in any of the following areas: business process improvement, financial management policies and procedures, financial system integrations, etc.Experience performing financial statement audits and/or auditability assessments1+ year of experience improving government accounting and transaction processesKnowledge of OMB Circular A-134 or A-11 documentation testing and reporting requirementsAbility to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred Qualifications: 

Familiarity with U.S. government financial accounting systemsKnowledge of OMB Circular A-134 or A-11 documentation testing and reporting requirementsCertifications including: CPA, CDFM, CGFM, CFA, CIA

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $62,985 to $121,550.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
