The Leasing Consultant is responsible for welcoming prospective residents to the community, coordinating tours, and responding to incoming inquiries about leasing. The position also supports current residents with day-to-day issues and coordinates renewal of existing leases. The Leasing Consultant is a central point of communication between the Community residents, Community management, and community maintenance teams.

A Floating Leasing Consultant may rotate between two or more properties in the local area as needed.

Essential Functions and Position Responsibilities

Welcome all residents, prospects, and visitors to the communityEffectively lease apartments and sell property’s products and services in accordance with budgetEnsure Fair Housing Standards are followed in all matters when working with prospects and residentsFollow up on leasing traffic entries and monitor traffic trendsMaintain thorough product knowledge of property and that of major competitionAssist with marketing activities to position Bell communities as communities of choiceReview resident applications in accordance with Bell guidelinesComplete lease packets and files for each resident to include the lease, all addendums and otherMaintain positive and professional relationships with residents throughout the leaseRespond to resident inquiries, complaints, or issues and provide timely follow upRegular attendance and punctualityAdditional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communicationStrong marketing and creativity skillsTech-savvy with strong working knowledge of MS Office SuiteKnowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar programs preferredExceptional customer-service focusBasic knowledge of, and compliance with, Fair Housing lawsWorks successfully on a teamSuperior interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful; mature, flexible in any situation, able to shift prioritiesBasic to intermediate math aptitudeDemonstrates support of Bell Core ValuesDemonstrates support of BAL strategic driversPresents a professional imageResourceful and well organized

Education and Competencies   

High School diploma or GED requiredBA/BS in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred1+ years of apartment leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
