Head of Sales Operations, Kuiper Government Solutions
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The mission of Project Kuiper’s Government Solutions (KGS) is to leverage Kuiper and provide high speed, low latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers.

We have an immediate opening for a Head of Sales Operations to support the Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) team focusing on global Government customers. As the Head of Sales Operations, you will work with technical and senior leadership across the program to ensure Kuiper government has a robust Sales Operations approach which will successfully analyze sales data, performance metrics, and trends to provide actionable insights for the business development team, develop and maintain sales dashboards and reports that track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making, support business planning, and implement operational and process improvements. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across multiple geographies. Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to solve data and operational problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards

The best candidates will have broad technical skills, strong financial acumen and a deep operational and analytical background, demonstrated expertise in Salesforce CRM and Einstein Analytics is preferred. They will be able to lead development of a strategic sales operation strategy and ensure required investments are reflected in the business plan and meet long-term KGS goals and objectives. Candidates with demonstrated experience in deployed secure satellite communications services will be preferred.


Key job responsibilities
This role is responsible for developing and implementing Project Kuiper’s government sales operation strategy. You will be responsible for developing, managing and leading the KGS sales operation approach. This is a unique opportunity to assist in the development of a global broadband communication system. You will work closely with the Kuiper and KGS business development teams as well as the engineering and product teams to cultivate, develop, and institute best sales operations practices across the enterprise. In addition, you will be responsible for delivering actionable, objective insights to KGS leaders to inform the strategic go-to-market approach.

In this role you will:
• Develop and implement a customized Sales tracking tool with appropriate analytics embedded dashboard for accounts, leads, pipeline, funnel, planned meetings, opportunities, cases (order management, services/field support)
• Design the global sales processes, policies, and metrics for order management, customer onboarding, and account management
• Partner with business development, sales, and KGS Product teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
• Analyze business performance, measure sales productivity, create dashboards, and report insights.
• Maintain and develop sales operations tools or reports that align, and simplify, monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes
• Create operational templates and processes to compile and standardize disparate information that drive standardized reporting and metrics tracking (including, but not limited to: SLA/spectrum/yield)
• Own, manage, and drive strategic programs from inception to delivery. Improve process efficiency and effectiveness for large, complex, and thorny projects
• Be a trusted advisor to Executive leaders, Business Development, and Partnership Developments globally for delivering revenue for the Kuiper Government business
• Keep abreast of policy developments that have a significant impact on U.S. government SATCOM markets
• Coordinate with leadership in development of the KGS sales funnel, pipeline forecast and capture process
• Conduct periodic status reviews of strategic sale operation goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress
• Direct analytics function to define data-driven methodologies to analyze pipeline and sales performance metrics and process improvements options
• Develop sales management strategy and implement tools to facilitate positive customer experience
• Provide mentorship to harness the softer skills required of the team to facilitate a standardized strategic selling approach to the industry, create deep and loyal partnerships within accounts, and drive their teams to successfully achieve sales objectives
• Partner with internal product line, business line & operations leadership to coordinate plans to implement the KGS business strategy; work with colleagues to identify and implement what each department needs to do to ensure sales operation success
• Support catalog/list pricing methodologies and active deal (price) management across the KGS products and services

This position is in Arlington, VA. Some travel, primarily domestic, will be required.

Security Clearance : Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI, so you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
