Heavy Equipment Operator - Crew Lead Pit Reclamation

Position Overview:

The Lead Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a full range of heavy equipment and direct a crew. The Lead Heavy Equipment Operator is a full-time position that requires travel with overtime, reports to the Foreman, and has crew supervisory responsibilities.

Incentive(s) $1500 Sign-On Bonus Annual Clothing Stipend Annual Safety Incentive Essential Duties and Functions: Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects Responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance, and schedule of pit/quarry stripping and reclamation Understand and abide by MSHA safety regulations Operate a full range of heavy equipment (i.e. skid steer, excavator, motor grader, backhoe, compact roller, front end loader, dozer, scraper, etc.) Operate and maintain equipment as needed Perform inspections and maintenance of equipment such as greasing, checking oil, water, and tires/tracks Perform physical duties (i.e. shovel, sledgehammer, rake, etc.) Follow, enforce, and promote all company safety and quality requirements at all times Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours) Position Requirements: Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test Experience in pit/mine reclamation Strong understanding of MSHA regulations Ten years of experience in heavy equipment Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines Knowledge of road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal Physical Requirements: Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders Pushing/Pulling Twisting/Bending Sitting/Standing/Balancing Operate hand and foot controls Simple/Firm grasping Ability to lift/lower over 50 pounds Ability to carry over 50 pounds Squatting/Stooping/Crouching Kneeling/Crawling Gross manipulation (pinching) Benefit Offering: Salary Range: $30+ per hour (Based on experience, location, etc.) Health – Dental – Vision Ins.
