Position Overview: The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a full range of heavy equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility. Incentive(s) + $1500 Sign-On Bonus + Annual Clothing Stipend + Annual Safety Incentive Essential Duties and Functions: + Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects + Operate a full range of heavy equipment (i.e. skid steer, excavator, motor grader, backhoe, compact roller, front end loader, dozer, scraper, etc.) + Operate and maintain other equipment as needed + Perform inspections and maintenance of equipment such as greasing, checking oil, water, and tires/tracks + Perform physical duties about grade prep and/or grading work (i.e. shovel, sledgehammer, rake, etc.) + Follow, enforce, and promote all company safety and quality requirements at all times + Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours Position Requirements: + Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test + Basic mechanical skills + Five years of experience in heavy equipment + Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines + Knowledge of road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements + Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal Physical Requirements: + Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders + Pushing/Pulling + Twisting/Bending + Sitting/Standing/Balancing + Operate hand and foot controls + Simple/Firm grasping + Ability to lift/lower over 50 pounds + Ability to carry over 50 pounds + Squatting/Stooping/Crouching + Kneeling/Crawling + Gross manipulation (pinching) Benefit Offering: + Salary Range: $26+ per hour (Based on experience, location, etc.) + Health – Dental – Vision Ins. + Company-paid Life Insurance + Voluntary Life Insurance + Company-paid Short Term Disability + Voluntary Long Term Disability + Paid Time off and Holiday Pay + Employee Assistance Program + 401K with Company Match + Bereavement Pay + Potential for Advancement
