*Hematologist/Medical Oncologist with*focus on Adult Leukemia*(3-309-1196)*The University of Maryland School of Medicine and the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, located in Baltimore, MD, are currently recruiting a full-time physician to join their faculty. The position is for a hematologist/medical oncologist with a focus on adult leukemia and strong interest and experience in translational and/or clinical research. The essential functions of the position include rounding on the inpatient hematologic malignancies teaching service, outpatient consultations and longitudinal care of patients with leukemia and related bone marrow disorders, education and mentoring of Hematology/Medical Oncology fellows, residents and medical students in inpatient and outpatient settings, and leading and participating in translational and/or clinical research in leukemia. Clinical and translational research is supported by the UMGCCC Shared Services in ourCenter for Innovative Biomedical Resources (CIBR) andthe UMGCCC Clinical Research Office. Interaction with basic and translational scientists is strongly encouraged and supported. Candidates must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and fellowship training and experience in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. They must be board-certified in Internal Medicine and board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology and eligible for a medical license in Maryland. Applicants must demonstrate excellent qualifications in clinical care, education and research. Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher, with rank and tenure status dependent on candidate qualifications. Expected faculty rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be dependent on the selected candidate's qualifications.
