The main purpose and function of the Hopper Loader is to inspect, load, or reject bulk rail cars and bulk truck with the proper tonnage, keeping tanks at a proper level for continued production. Sampling rail cars and truck and recording numbers and names of cars and trucks loaded. + Spot box cars when needed, position car or truck under proper tank. + Inspect car or truck for defects, foreign material, and leaks + Filling cars/trucks for appropriate levels/weights according to blends, moisture, grinds, and car types. + Keep rail scale and truck scale clean and zeroed as well as cleaning a lubing all rail switches. Interact with department supervisors, managers, and other co-workers. + Working with Hopper Loader “B” if applicable, to prepare, unload and supplied. + Start clean up fan, and roots blower. + Other duties as assigned.
