MSA has an opportunity for an HR Coordinator at one of the following office locations: Baraboo, WI; Dubuque, IA; or Madison, WI. The Human Resources Coordinator assists in achieving departmental goals by supporting initiatives such as onboarding, employee engagement, data management, and internal communications. This role supports the planning and implementation of HR processes, programs, and initiatives to facilitate growth and employee engagement, including analysis, research, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

The work you may do

 

Create a positive onboarding experience for all employees

Manage and communicate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.Create and communicate the logistics for New Employee Orientation event multiple times/year, helping new hires acclimate to company policies, procedures, and culture.Organize and oversee National Intern Day activities, fostering engagement with interns and promoting the employer brand

Organize details for an efficient recruitment process

Post jobs on multiple job boards and develop ideas to support of our affirmative action program outreach, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Schedule interviews and manage communication between candidates and hiring managers.Coordinate career fairs, including logistics, scheduling, and promotional materials.

Ensure employees have the information they need

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.Respond promptly and professionally to requests from employees, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.Manage HR-related information on the company's Intranet, ensuring it remains up-to-date and accessible.Represent HR in monthly administrative meetings, providing updates and insights on HR-related matters.

Maintain effective records for the management of HR processes

Administer Family and Medical Leave Act and Short-Term Paid Leave processes, ensuring compliance and providing support to employees.Organize and maintain our records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.Review and approve changes in the Human Resources Information SystemPerform data entry into the Learning Management System to support training and development initiativesProcess monthly invoices related to HR services and programsOrder materials for and complete reporting requirements for compliance effortsGenerate reports and fulfill data requests for HR team, leaders, and other departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Qualifications

What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Psychology, or a related field; or four years of equivalent experience requiredAt least one year of experience working in an entry-level HR role preferredPrior experience facilitating onboarding process for new hires preferredProficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Human Resources Information System (HRIS) software Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive HR information.Demonstrates a sense of urgency and service orientation in addressing HR needs.Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.Eager to learn, open to feedback, and takes ownership of work responsibilities.
