ICU Staff RN - Night Shift - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Job Summary

Provides direct and indirect patient care.  Communicates with physicians, nurse managers, co-workers, as appropriate related to changes in patient's clinical condition including diagnostic study results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties.

Must be able to assume responsibility for unit patient populations.  Must understand and be willing to adhere to the service excellence standards established for Mary Rutan Hospital.   Must demonstrate the ability to complete thorough patient assessments.   Must demonstrate effective communication skills necessary to interact efficiently with all customers.   Must be able to work independently and demonstrate ability to delegate appropriately.   Must be able to effectively function in unexpected crisis in a calm, confident manner.   Must be willing to adjust schedule to meet unit needs, float to and work in other areas as assigned and accept low census as needed.   Must work required weekends and holidays.   Must adhere to all staffing and personnel policies.   Must keep all required licensures and certifications current.

Qualifications for awarding positions are in the following order: after the first 7 days from the date of the job posting, internal nurses whom are currently working in the department or whom are fully oriented to the department; nurses whom are cross-trained to the department; years of RN experience in the area of the position that they are applying for; years of critical care experience; years as an RN.

Regulatory Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current State Nursing Licensure in the State of Ohio. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. BSN preferred. Conscious sedation is required. For FBC Nurses NRP is a required certification prior to completion of orientation. Cardiac Classes are required. Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 12 months of hire. Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association. For ED, OR, PACU and SDS current PALS certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 12 months of hire. Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association. Critical Care orientation is required. CCRN is encouraged. Language Skills Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional language(s) and communication skills (sign language) preferred. Skills Basic computer knowledge. Cardiac Monitoring is required.
