Duties of the Quality Assurance Specialist/Nurse Educator :

Directs the orientation program for all new employees and schedules ongoing coordinated education in-services. Evaluates resident care practices throughout the facility and identifies instructional needs. Design educational programs commensurate with needs. Documents all programming as required by state standards and maintains a reference library. Provides specialized training needs in all departments on request of Department Heads. Notifies Department Heads about scheduling of required staff education, immunizations, and additional department education. Administers and records licensed staff competencies.

Qualifications for Quality Assurance Specialist/Nurse Educator.

Valid RN license 2 years experience as a Nurse Educator/Staff Development Coordinator.
