Internship – Process Simulation (m/f/d)

(full time / 3 month)

based in Stade  

 

Olin in Stade offers an exciting internship opportunity to strengthen your process simulation skills by optimizing an existing process model. You will apply your expertise in Aspen Plus and collaborate with technology experts and the team of one of our production plants to develop a validated digital twin of our production process. The work is planned to be extended by studying energy efficiency improvement and heat integration options with the validated process model. Your work will further improve sustainability of a world-scale production plant at Olin Stade by reducing energy consumption.

 

Key responsibilities

Adapt existing Aspen Plus model to current plant process together with process experts and plant personnel Improve existing Aspen Plus process model and optimize for robust convergence Validate Aspen Plus model with data from the existing process Collaborate with operators and dayshift staff in German language Optional: Study energy improvement and heat integrations options

 Qualifications

Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering; Bachelor with passed relevant Master Courses or Master Strong team working skills Experience in process modeling with Aspen Plus Knowledge of chemical engineering unit operations (distillation, reactors, heat exchangers, etc.) Knowledge of Pinch Analysis and heat integration is a plus Fluent in English and German
