Journeyman, Electrician

OBJECTIVE:
Installs, replaces, performs maintenance and repairs on electrical systems.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Many of the job responsibilities will be conducted in exterior and interior areas of the operation. Exterior activities will be carried out in year-round weather conditions. Interior work will be conducted on stage and back stage environments, including smoking areas. Work hours will fluctuate depending on projects, daily tasks and emergency situations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting Responsible for correcting electrical deficiencies and repairing faulty electrical systems. Installs new electrical systems to upgrade and expand services. Responsible for electrical preventative maintenance including inspecting existing electrical wiring, equipment and tools. Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, work sites and shop. Keeps abreast of current professional and technical knowledge. Utilizes department apprentices to perform tasks and provide them guidance and training to further their knowledge in the trade. Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations. Understands and complies with Facilities Department and Casino policies and procedures. Participates in training programs provided by the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate with supervisor.
Ability to follow directions.
Familiar with the National Electric Code
Familiar with loads and currents
Ability to interpret, understand and perform tasks utilizing blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
Working knowledge of high-reach, heavy equipment, power and hand tools.
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
Passed Certified Journeyman Exam.
Knowledgeable in National Electric Code.
Pass Barona Electrical Competency Test
Able to work under minimal supervision
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED
One-year certificate from College or Technical School
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years job-related journeyman experience.
