Position Overview

Core duties include Maintaining and Managing up-to-date lab inventory,  

Compounding Flavors, Operating Spray Drier,  Fulfillment of Sample request, general lab work and maintenance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely handling Aroma Chemicals Maintaining and managing up-to-date lab inventory Ordering materials as needed Repacking Materials Preparing and fulfilling internal and external sample requests Shipping Samples Setting up Sensory evaluation panels Accurately Compounding Flavors Running Spray Drier Assisting and Maintaining sanitation and lab organization Keeping accurate lab records and data Other tasks as required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of twelve (12) college credits/CEUs preferably in Chemistry / Biology OR in lieu of college credits, 2 years in Food manufacturing environment or lab and knowledge of food safety Proven ability to safely handle and work with aroma chemicals Proven ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times Able to work at a lab bench for 8 hrs Proven ability to follow instructions Solid math skills including the ability to work accurately with formulas, ratios, percentages, parts per million and decimals Must possess strong teamwork capabilities Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities PC skills required - Experience operating in a Windows environment, managing files and handling data. Professional communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution. Ability to take instruction / direction from multiple groups Ability to be self-directed and motivated. Ability to lift 10 pounds continuously, 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
