Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry within the School of Arts and Sciences. This laboratory technician position is to support C. elegans molecular genetics research on the molecular mechanisms underlying endocytosis and endocytic recycling.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides routine technical support relative to scientific research work or projects of a laboratory and/or teaching program. Performs standard and repetitive molecular biology protocols including molecular cloning following established methods. Performs C.elegans strain construction via microinjection, standard genetic crosses and transgenic methods. Keeps the lab clean and organized and performing related duties as needed. Collects and completes basic preparation of samples and specimens. Performs standard and repetitive physical, chemical, and biological tests on materials, substances, and/or living subjects. Prepares media, substances, solutions, and reagents and performs related duties as required.
