Lead Intelligence Planner/Language Manager

SMX is seeking a Language Manager with experience facilitating and overseeing mandatory annual language training for USAREUR-AF theater linguists (35P/35M) and Foreign Area Officers in Wiesbaden, Germany. 

This position requires a DoD Top Secret SCI clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor the USAREUR-AF language training budget and assist USAREUR-AF G2 in the execution of training, equipment acquisition, and facility development IAW AR 11-6. Oversee all real-world mission and exercise linguist support requests across the AOR and coordinate execution with INSCOM. Coordinate logistics for U.S. Military linguists supporting USAREUR-AF support requirements and advise USAREURAF G2, USEUCOM J2, and INSCOM regarding mitigation and solution strategies for linguist shortfalls affecting Intelligence operational capability. Engage directly with DA G2 and Joint Staff regarding Theater linguist manning and areas of focus, assist in updates and modifications to applicable AR and DA PAM’s, Strategic Language Lists, and participate as a key stakeholder in the Linguist Planning Working Groups. Travel as needed with within the USAREUR-AF Area of Operations

Required Skills & Experience

Required Clearance: TS/SCI Three (3) years’ experience determining the appropriate foreign language, regional expertise, and cultural capabilities requirements, based on the current situation and circumstances, for personnel deploying to their area of responsibilities in support of exercises and operations. Three (3) years' monitoring language training budgets and assisting in the execution of funding for training, equipment acquisition, and facility development. Three (3) years' coordinating logistics for US Military linguists. Three (3) years' advising, regarding mitigation and solution strategies for linguist shortfalls affecting Intelligence operational capabilities.
