Alutiiq Career Ventures, (ACV) is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Librarian I to join our team. As a librarian, you will perform a range of duties such as cataloging library resources, and maintaining library records.  

The Librarian I will support the NASA Communications Services contract.  For this position, you will have to demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, as a great part of your job will involve interacting with the customers.  The ideal candidate should also possess in-depth knowledge of library database systems, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager. Responsible for assisting librarians by helping readers in the use of library catalogs, databases, and indexes to locate books and other materials Responsible for answering questions that require only brief consultation of standard reference Responsible for compiling records, sorting and shelving books or other media, removal or repair of damaged books or other media Responsible for registering patrons and checking materials in and out of the circulation process Responsible for replacing materials in shelving area (stacks) or files, including bookmobile drivers who assist with providing services in mobile libraries. Responsible for generating routine and/or ad-hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customers Duties may include directly interfacing with OCOMM management and/or OCOMM customers
