Logistics/Warehouse Coordinator - Essentia-1

The purpose of this job is to prepare product for shipment; receive and store goods received internally and externally in an organized efficient manner in accordance with established policies and procedures. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS:** Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Two years’ warehouse/inventory experience. Stable work history. **JOB DUTIES:** + Receives raw material from vendors and stores in either cooler, reefer, van trailer or warehouse and completes documentation as applicable. + Receives finished product from production and confirms appropriate completion of labeling. + Operates a forklift/pallet jack as required to move product to designated holding area until shipped. + Receives/signs for deliveries of packaging/bagging materials, chemicals used in processing and clean up, etc., and stores in designated area. + Assists with the periodic inventory of product stored in the warehouse. + Performs basic maintenance/clean-up activities to include regular sweeping, occasional floor hose down, proper storage and care of equipment used in the warehouse department in accordance with company safety guidelines and regulations. + Prepares product for shipping to include recording lot number, ensuring/completing documentation for export shipments, verifying correct count for shipping, wrapping and sorting items to be shipped, restacking inventory, confirming Quality Control has released product prior to shipping, and loading the product. + Responsible for inventory counts. + Assists Finance with annual physical inventory. + Assist with production as needed. + Operate company vehicle as required. + Assist in ensuring fundamental food safety and quality practices are maintained to achieve food safety and quality objectives and to support ongoing improvements of food safety programs. **JOB REQUIREMENTS:** + General knowledge of warehouse/shipping operations. + Organizational ability in storing product in a logical manner. + Sustained physical effort required to move throughout the warehouse moving and restacking product and supplies. + Ability to accurately and legibly record a variety of data for record keeping purposes. + Ability to operate forklift and/or pallet jacks. + Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. + Ability to drive a vehicle and maintain valid driver license. + Basic math skills, including a variety of calculations. + Knowledge and ability to implement all safety techniques and mandated sanitary rules and regulations in accordance with established policies and procedures. + Ability to communicate effectively with Essential Protein Solutions personnel, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other business-related contacts. + Ability to remain calm and professional at all times. + Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. + Ability to operate all necessary plant and office equipment required to accomplish job duties, such as computers, office telephones including voice mail features, fax machines, etc. + Ability to work daily, weekends and extended hours, as necessary. + Ability to assist other work-related areas, as required. + Ability to learn and operate windows environment software, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and MAPICS systems. + Must be able to distinguish if food safety violations or product quality issues occur and resolve immediately or, if unable to resolve immediately, contact plant management and/or the QC Supervisor. **BASIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** Approximate: 8-Hour Day (may be longer during peak season) **Key:** Occasional = 0% - 33% Frequent = 34% - 66% Continuous = 67% - 100% N/A = Not Applicable Standing - Continuous Sitting - Occasional Walking - Continuous Bending/Kneeling/Crouching/Stooping - Frequent Reaching Above Shoulder - Frequent Climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.) - Occasional Working on Heights: Unprotected Heights - Occasional Protected Heights - Occasional Lifting Weights from 0 to 100 pounds - Frequent Push/Pull/Maneuver Equipment/Products/Materials Weighing from 0 to 2,500 pounds - Continuous Being Around and/or Operating Moving Machinery/Equipment - Continuous Operating a Vehicle (as a part of your job) - Occasional Read/Monitor Gauges on Various Equipment/Machinery - Occasional Hand Movements: Recording Data - Frequent Operating Office Equipment - Occasional Operating Computer - Occasional Simple Grasping (right and left) - Frequent Firm Grasping (right and left) - Frequent Fine Manipulating (right and left) - Frequent Foot Movements to Operate Foot Controls - Frequent Good Vision, Corrected to Normal; or Ability to Access Required Information and to Perform Job Duties - Yes Color Definition - Yes Good Hearing, Corrected to Normal; or Ability to Communicate and/or Understand Required Information and to Perform Job Duties - Yes Ability to be Mobile throughout Required Work Areas Office - Continuous Multiple Locations - Occasional Plant - Continuous Equipment/Maintenance or Repair Area - Occasional Rough Terrain - Occasional Other - N/A **BASIC MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:** This job requires the mental capabilities to organize and maintain a systematic and organized warehouse area. Furthermore, logical thing and common sense are essential in performing this job function. **WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPOSURES:** Working conditions vary, the major portion of the job duties occur in an indoor warehouse environment within a food processing plant. Exposure to many different chemicals used during production and clean up, high noise levels, moving machinery/equipment, climbing on heights, moving throughout the building to different processing areas and wet floors.
