Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Lung Transplant Physician to join an establish team.

Summary of the Position

\n

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients undergoing lung transplantation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to improving the lives of patients with advanced lung disease. The Center for Advanced Heart & Lung disease has a very active research program with a strong supporting team and is involved in multiple clinical trials and registries.

\n

The Center for Advanced Lung Diseases receives support from the advanced heart failure specialists, experienced cardiac and thoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, fellowship trained chest radiologists, rheumatologists, and pathologists who specialize in pulmonary pathology. The Center has a robust program in heart and lung transplantation, ECMO, and pulmonary thromboembolectomy.

Baylor University Medical Center is a tertiary care institution with a large commitment to medical education. Candidates will have the opportunity and are encouraged to be involved in the teaching of Texas A&M medical students, residents and fellows. Academic appointment commensurate to experience is available.

Candidate Qualifications

\n\nBoard certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine\nCompletion of an accredited fellowship in Lung Transplantation or equivalent experience\nDemonstrated expertise in the evaluation and management of patients with advanced lung disease, including candidates for lung transplantation.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.\nEmployed position through HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN), Baylor Scott & White employment group in DFW \nCompetitive Salary, Benefit Package and Relocation Assistance\nNo visa sponsorship\n\n

Qualifications

\n

·                      Doctorate Degree in Medicine

\n

·                      Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board

\n

·                      Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
