Toll Integrated Systems seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in performing repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment at our manufacturing plant in Emporia, Virginia.

What is the opportunity?

 

Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery, buildings, and equipment in a manufacturing environment. On the job training will allow the mechanic to learn a high variety of maintenance skills.

 

What are the primary responsibilities?

Repair various machinery such as conveyors, saws, and assembly equipment.Assist in maintaining the facility and grounds, perform welding and metal fabrication, and perform repairs to trailers. Perform light electrical such as replacing switches, sensors, motors, and lights.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated experience repairing industrial equipmentExperienced with preventative maintenance proceduresSolid background in safety practicesProficiency in welding and mechanical fabrication preferredExperience in general facilities maintenanceMust be able to effectively read, write & understand verbal instructions in EnglishMust be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting up to 50+ lbs., bending, climbing, standing for duration of shift, etc.)Must be able to work outdoors in various climatesMaintaining a clean and safe work environment Ability to interact with frontline production personnel to troubleshoot equipment & system issues Willing to work overtime; and occasional weekends 

Do you have these qualifications?

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in industrial maintenanceStrong mechanical aptitudeExperience operating a wide variety of tools and equipmentProficiency in welding and fabricationSolid background in OSHA safety practices, equipment and controls
