This position is responsible for working closely and courteously with Residential customers. Will install, test, turn up and troubleshoot home services in residential environments.

Establish and manage timelines for engineering and permitting for distribution engineering projectsPrioritize and escalate key projects when neededIdentify and vet new engineering firms to ensure the proper resource level is maintained for homes passed forecastingEstablish and maintain engineering standards with both the engineering firms and internal teamsWork with cross departmental teams to clearly communicate market readiness plans, construction start timelines, and project roadblocksCandidate selection and interview process for Home Services OSP EngineersPerformance and Productivity reviews quarterly and yearly for team membersConstruction Drawing Responsibilities:
Coordinate with longhaul Fiber Design for the tie-in or meet design of distribution fiber with existing fiber infrastructure.Coordinate with Access Engineering on fiber design for OLT/GPON and splitter placement.Review and edit construction drawings and As-Built drawings from In-House and Outside engineers.Update “red-line” changes from inspectors, project managers or in-house construction crews.Organize and maintain As-Built drawings for every residential fiber route required.Provide support for (inside) engineering on fiber route location and FDP allocation for new builds.Perform additional duties as assigned. QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
4-5 years in the OSP construction or fiber design field required.Must have and maintain MS driver’s license.At least 6 years work experience in Telecommunications or related industry.Applicant must have working knowledge of all types of outside plant construction and must possess a high degree of interpersonal skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen. Must be available via phone 7X24 hours a day for emergencies and on call as directed. Regional travel could be required
