Responsible for managing various diagnostic imaging examinations of patients as ordered by physicians. Manages, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of imaging services support staff. Plans, directs and supervises all technical aspects of the imaging department to ensure appropriate usage and maintenance of appropriate levels of supplies.


Principal Accountabilities:

1. Provides leadership to Imaging Services team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
2. Participates in the formulation of department goals, preparation of annual operating budgets, and other administrative tasks.
3. Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
4. Devises medical imaging protocols to enhance the quality of services provided. Assures that the staff is performing imaging procedures of acceptable quality and in accordance with department's set protocols.
5. Assists in strategic resource planning to meet staffing requirements of the department.
6. Ensures integrity of patient medical images and related medical data in order to adhere with patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
7. Maintains strong relations with internal and external stakeholders on manufacturing and maintenance of various imaging equipment.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
