About the Team

Workday is unique in that it builds enterprise software in the cloud on a single codebase through a continuous development model allowing for rapid delivery of our software to our customers. The Workday Student product is built to meet the needs of today's colleges and universities. Our team’s overall goal is to accelerate the delivery of new features for our Workday Student product in an agile environment, while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday applications.

About the Role

As an Engineering Manager in Atlanta, you will guide an application development team that supports our existing customers and develops new features to enable our Workday Student product. This is a great opportunity to lead a team of hardworking, dynamic and passionate software engineers!

Responsibilities:Direct the activities of a software application development team delivering new features for Workday StudentCollaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver an outstanding Student product while taking ownership of technical design, programming, debugging and enhancement requestsInteract with the development teams, product managers, QA and customers to solve everyday problems in an innovative wayUnderstand and promote industry standards and methodologiesSelect, coach and evaluate your team to ensure their efficient operation

About You

The successful candidate will manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines, be passionate about building high quality enterprise applications, and be innovative in their ideas from a technical, process, and interpersonal relations point of view.

Basic Qualifications3+ years of experience managing a team of software developers as direct reports5+ years of software development experience in object oriented languages such as Xpresso, Java, C#, Python, Ruby, XpressoExperience leading a development team in an agile environmentOther QualificationsYou have managed and coached software developers ranging in experience from new engineers up to seasoned professionalsYou see software development as a team sport, and thrive in a highly collaborative, agile culture where you’re always teaching and learningYou focus on delivering high quality software products and you value test automationYou are proactive and able to deliver on initiatives that you startYou have a strong background and technical capabilities in object oriented design and development with languagesBS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $148,000 USD - $222,000 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $140,600 USD - $264,000 USD
